Interview with Arturo Gonzalez

What commitment does your company have to sustainability?

We are the first lighting company in the Dow Jones sustainability and commitment is very important. Our goal is for the year 2030 to get 0% CO2 emissions.

How did you meet Evaporalia?

We met Evaporalia because we had a heat problem at the factory and that is that in summer it was very hot, through our manufacturing director who had listened to Evaporalia and we contacted you.

What problem did you have?

It was enormously hot arriving summer, especially when we arrived on Mondays, we couldn’t ventilate the plant well, because the hot air stayed in the high areas. When we arrived on Monday it took around 2 or 3 days to have all the doors open in ventilating everything. The heat waves are getting bigger and when they make 36ºC – 37ºC it is an unbearable heat in the factory.º

Why did you decide to choose Evaporalia?

Especially for the consumer issue, the sustainability issue and the price issue. We started by implanting these systems in the paint area, which is where we have the paint ovens at more than 200ºC and the feedback we collected from the employees was wonderful, so much so that the next year we decided to implement it in the rest of the facilities.

Have you improved working conditions?

Our experience is that it reduces 7ºC with a very optimal energy consumption. It is so much that every year we had complaints from the company committee and since we installed it, the complaints have ended. The same year of the installation, the Director General (CEO) visited the company and liked the system so much that it forced the rest of the world’s factories to install this similar ventilation system. It fits totally but above all it is the comfort of having every year complaints around the world to completely disappear.

No. It is a sustainable system with very low energy consumption and spends up to 80% less than an A/C. For example, for an area of 200 m2 the approximate consumption is 960 W at maximum speed.

between 7 ºC and 20 ºC less than that of outside air. It will depend on the daily weather conditions, mainly on the outside air temperature and its humidity. The hotter and drier the day, the more the evaporative air conditioners will cool down.

Yes, because we do not recirculate air like the A/C, we introduce new air filtered and cold from the outside, due to that an overpressure is generated and we must evacuate the introduced air. For this reason, doors and windows open, exutorious or forced extraction are advisable.

No, since its maintenance is minimal, due to the automation, they incorporate the equipment, such as an electrolytic detector of water quality, automatic and programmable drainage or automatic duct closure.

The installations are very fast, they would have the operating equipment in a short time and with their capabilities at 100%.

Because it allows you to save time and money, in addition to helping you cover a primary need such as air conditioning for general well-being in your company. Respecting the environment
